4 ways to wear a silk scarf on a raffia hat.

A silk scarf can completely change the look of a raffia hat. Printed designs add color and texture, allowing the same accessory to be adapted for very different occasions and styles.

Raffia hats return every summer because they are practical, comfortable, and easy to style. However, they also offer a perfect canvas for playing with color and prints. One of my favorite options is to add a printed silk scarf around the crown or tie it simply so it falls down the back; it is a small detail that completely transforms the result.

In this article, I show you four different ways to combine silk scarves and raffia hats through several photographs. Some options have a more elegant feel, ideal for an outdoor lunch, a celebration, or a summer afternoon. Others are more relaxed, evoking beach days, vacations, and walks by the sea.

1. The classic touch: side tie in pastel tones

To achieve a sophisticated and very feminine look, this option is perfect. The silk scarf in green and mint tones is wrapped firmly around the crown of the hat, letting the ends fall gracefully over one shoulder. It is an ideal combination for more special occasions or a guest look when paired with gold jewelry.

2. Romantic style: the back bow

If you are looking for a sweet and timeless look, try tying the scarf at the back of the straw hat, just above the brim. A pink design with botanical motifs breaks the monotony of a basic white shirt and adds a delicate point of contrast that will become the center of attention as you walk.

3. Bohemian vibe: free-falling down the back

For those relaxed vacation days, walks by the sea, or beach afternoons, this is my favorite way to wear it. The silk scarf, with a vibrant floral print in fuchsia and yellow tones, is tied in a very simple and casual way, letting the ends fall freely down the back. It brings a lot of light and movement when walking.

4. Magnetic contrast: the flat side knot

You don’t always need large bows to stand out. A violet silk scarf with illustrations inspired by fauna and flora can frame your face if you place it flat around the crown and finish it with a simple knot to one side. It is a comfortable, modern option, perfect for adding personality to a neutral-toned outfit.

The interesting thing about this combination is that there is no single way to wear them. A printed scarf can add a touch of color to a neutral outfit, pick up some of the tones from the clothing, or become the absolute star of your look.
